I've followed your instructions up to the opening of "local". I found the file IconCache. I checked my mpg files and nothing had changed. I deleted the Icon file a second time and still my mpg files are unchanged. This is very frustrating but I do appreciate the help. I just don't seem to be getting anywhere fast. I'd love to know why this happened in the first place. I'm hoping to make a compilation disc with some of these video files on it, and it would make it a lot easier if I could see the files' thumbnails instead of just icons, as I have about of them!
